>Introduction by Harold Bloom
What other (fiction) books did Harold Bloom write introductions for? I'm unable to find a bibliography.

>> No.19175210

>>19175197
He spoils the book btw. Read the introduction at your own risk.

>> No.19175213

Is the introduction even relevant? I heard he spoils the story

>> No.19175245

>>19175210
Introductions by anyone other than the author himself is just a marketing scheme to get your name attached next to a classic book title and increase your popularity.
I used to read them and they're pretty much all worthless.
Bloom's introductions might be more interesting but I haven't read any myself

I used to read them, too. Later I only read them after having read the main text. Now I don't read them at all.

His introduction is decent, but nigga was freaking obsessed with this book. One of his other books: 'The American Canon', has a Blood Meridian/McCarthy mention in nearly every chapter; everybody from emerson to Henry James to whitman to Melville.

Never trust anything a McCarthy fanboy says. It applies very much to 4chan too.

Blood Meridian is supremely boring, and I dropped it 2/3rds in because nothing of importance happens.

In general, not very much American.

Go read something more your level, like a Dan Brown novel or a manga.
