Is this a reason for concern about the accuracy of these texts and any other books by these publishers? Should I just use internet archive or Gutenberg and buy old editions?

Absolutely not. As we know mega corps and governments always look out for us and want what is best for us all the time. They wouldn't censor anything especially not books, and they would never rewrite history.
