Just read this. It wasn't that bad, not a great book but an entertaining read. I can understand why people want to larp as classics students after reading it.

You’re right that it’s not that bad, but it’s only not that bad if you can get past all of the obnoxious pseudo-intellectual references and the obvious aesthetic pandering that occurs in the very first chapter. It’s like an over-fictionalized fan fiction of an over-fictionalized impression of the New England collegiate elite.
