I have a ton of books that people have gifted me over the years, but I haven’t had the heart to read them. So, /lit/, what book should I read next from this part of my book collection?

All the green highlighted books are ones that I have already read in full.

This is now a shelf thread. What should I read next?

If I roll dubs I have to read it all for 2023

Rerolling for 2022

Btw some of the titles are obscured. The pamphlet between 1984 and The First Philosophers is Versos Sencillos by Jose Marti, and that's the same author's La Edad de Oro at the end, after Augustine's Confessions.

The red Everyman volume at the bottom-right is The Plague, The Fall, short stories and the Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus.

And yeah, my shelf is a bit basic since I'm just starting to read seriously again. I'm hoping to get into weird fiction once I've covered my foundation

if you haven't read the hitchhiker's guide i'd suggest that first because it's very easy to read and if you like it you'll likely love it and eat it up quickly. Ray Bradbury is also easier to read so you could knock out one of the stories in that book. highly recommend hitchhiker's guide though, it changed the way i go through life.

You should read the bell curve and then industrial society and it's consequences so you can complete the Diamond to Pinker to alt-right pipeline.
