looking to read about the following two ideas, and hoping /lit/ can recommend books, essays, blogposts etc:

consciousness is actually just one of the ways by which the brain self-corrects the subconscious. all decisions are taken by the subconscious, the conscious mind only analyses actions taken and their consequences. ergo there is no free will.

morality (i.e. good and evil) doesn't exist; but order/truth and chaos/falsehood do and are roughly analogous. the most fundamental duty of a state is to ensure people keep the promises they naturally make to each other (i.e. to enforce order/truth).what are the links if any between this concept and entropy?
