Is there any religion or philosophy based around predestination and workings towards accepting fate? I have a strong belief that all things in the world are predestined and can only follow one singular course, but would like to learn deeper ways to consider this and mold myself to it. Pic related but not the sort of thing I'm looking for.

I think that all occurrences in the world are predetermined in some manner, that there is no agency in the world which can alter the path of events. I don't have any specific theistic belief. This is something I accept on an intellectual level but I was thinking about ways that I could allow this to guide my behavior. I'm sure others have put more thought into this and there must be a good place to start somewhere.

A distinct possibility, but not applicable to me it would seem.

Isn't Stoicism related to this?

Accepting fate? Yes
Predestination? No, but they did believe in eternal return.

There's nothing for you to do if this is the case. You have no choice in the matter but to be a confused idiot. You can't align yourself any further with predestination because you were predestined to think you could.

All of my thoughts and feelings are predestined but I still think and feel them. Deciding on a course of action is predestined but I still decide. Asking how to do something is a predestined means of achieving it. I'm speaking of ways that this knowledge may shape one's behavior. Your reply is nonsense.

Unironically, Germanic polytheism. Go crack open the Eddas.

Caussade, Abandonment to Divine Providence is precisely on point.

In addition to being recognized as a classic of theology, I think it should be recognized as a classic of literature. In any event, read it.
