People on this board always talk about Sufism and Christian mysticism but almost never about kabbalah.
How do you get into it? Do you need a rabbi to initiate you? Also, I am interested in kabbalah as part of Judaism, not some "occultist" version.
Any book recommandations?

Some of the most important Kabbaistic texts are considered canonical by Hasidic Jews, so you should look into that specific denomination of Judaism if you want to see how it influences religious practice and belief. For example, here is a Hasidic rabbi explaining autism by appealing to the Kabbalistic doctrine of reincarnation (Gilgul).

Start with the Tanakh then read the Zohar and Sefer Yetzirah

Some good secondary sources:
Dion Fortune, The Mystical Qabalah
William Gray, The Ladder of Lights
Israel Regardie, A Garden of Pomegranates
Regardie, The Tree of Life

After reading the Zohar, I fail to see how it derives from the Tanakh. It deviates completely from what the LORD has said directly to His men.

Jews stole kabbalah from neoplatonists so desu the occultist qabalah is actually more true to its origins

Nah, Kabbalah is pretty much for goys to larp as Jews.
