Kinda. Not the Japanese kind though.
Does the incarnation of the Logos into Jesus Christ count as isekai?
>The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.
>He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not.
>He came to his own home, and his own people received him not.
>But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
>And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.

Unironically yes. Fantasy is all about throwing a character into another world, have them develop them and return. So what if they never return? So what if the fantasy world is fully fleshed out and not merely a metaphor for our current world?

Merely the act of seeing a character be in world that is so different from our own is more than enough justification for any isekai.

Is there an official /lit/ isekai chart anywhere? If not, we ought to make one.

A few to start it off (some good, some kindagood):

— Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
— Gulliver's Travels
— Island (Huxley's Utopian companion to BNW)
— The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, etc
— John Carter of Mars
— Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
— Lost Horizon (sort of)
— Lots of Heinlein, e.g. Farnham's Freehold. Stranger in a Strange Land is reverse-isekai I guess
