I admire people who post videos of themselves reciting their poetry and exposing their faces to the blows of strangers and to the possibility of having family members and friends see you in ways that you would mostly keep private.

I would never be capable of doing that. I simply don’t have it in me to promote myself and network and brand-advertise my name. I not only don’t know how to do it, but I would see myself as ridiculous while doing it.

I might not admire her work, but the will to show your face to blows and to promote yourself...I admire people who have the stomach.

By the way: how she got famous? Via You Tube? One of the videos went viral?

If she’s publishing with Penguin she must have a guaranteed fan base ready to buy her books.

I wish I knew how to loose my fear of appearing ridiculous and just went all in with my stuff online. Don’t know if there’s a way to learn to do such a thing.
