Any books about asian girl(s) doing asian girl stuff? This is not a joke thread. An asian girl protagonist for example and don't suggest YA or Murakami I know the protagonist is always an anxious guy.

Also Murakami always writes about jazz or something I am so tired of it, I just want to read about the asian girls and not some depressed young guy into jazz or whatever.

I really want to read a book about a young Asian girl being plucked from her simple, cosy life and thrown into something completely unfamiliar and how she struggles and deals with it, maybe finding some friends and love along the way. Sounds positively YA but I'm sure it could be written in a way that isn't.

Amy Tan? I know she's Asian but I'm pretty sure all she ever writes about is her relationship with her mother. Also she's Asian American. I'm pretty sure her life is vastly different from a real Asian.

Most girls here in Japan spend all day consooming twink boy band crap and playing gatcha games on their mobile phones. How I wish I was exaggerating. One girl I know buys magazines every single week, and they're just photo shoots of her favorite boy band. She tells me his tweets, she celebrates his birthday, and the birthdays of the other band members, she collects everything about them, she watches every single drama that they appear in. Another girl I know obsessively collects character merchandise from "Twisted Wonderland" which I guess is like a Hot Topic version of Kingdom Hearts or something. Their lives are pretty vapid. Would you be interested if I wrote a short story about them?

Yes but with Murakami he paints a good picture of the precise dimensions of the Asian girls areolas, that is quite hot really. Some are bigger some smaller depending on the character

I would. Do they ever dream of escaping their mundane lives? Do they aspire to see the world outside of their vapid, consumerist micro-culture?

I'm pretty sure their aspirations end at getting boyfriends. If I wrote a story about them, or combined them into a single character, it would probably be like a parody of American Psycho, except with Japanese culture instead of yuppie culture.

high schoolers. But there's not much difference between high schoolers and adults when it comes to women. Their brain stops developing at 16 or something.

Getting boyfriends and doing... what? Do they just want some softboi they don't have to have sex with? I would still like to read a story about them, maybe with some insight as to how they see men from outside of Japan.

>high schoolers
Ah, that explains it. Teen girls always seem to fall for non-threatening boy-men. Usually they grow out of it when they realise they need someone who can do more than take moody instagram photos and wear shitty clothes.
