A reprint of Joseph and his Brothers would be nice

Really, a lot of older fantasy works (pre-70s mostly) don't have nice professional paperbacks, mostly amateur weirdly-formatted print-on-demand paperbacks or shitty ebooks; if you want nice ones you have to hunt down ancient paperbacks and most likely you'll end up paying more for something that's probably yellowed and falling apart. We really need something like an Oxford's World Classics or Library of America but for older fantasy works: a curated line in a nice uniform format, easily available. There was something similar with the Ballantine Adult Fantasy line in the 60s and the Fantasy Masterworks series later on but they're discontinued

re: last bit

seems like a good business idea. acquire rights to forgotten/obscure books cheaply, have them properly typeset and slip them into a sleek, recognizable design à la NYRB classics or fitzcarraldo, or the ones you mentioned. get some yahoo to write an introduction. put them out at a steady drip, say one or two per month. maybe release limited editions (gaudy funko pop artwork) for collectors and/or subscribers. work your way up, using revenue to license even bigger works. my eyes are dollar signs

For a long time it was a decent hardcover edition of The Anatomy of Melancholy, but I've pre-ordered the new Penguin one which I'm pretty hopeful about. Though I've seen some reviews from the UK where it's already out and they seem kind of mixed, so maybe that's what I deserve for trusting Penguin.

Otherwise I'd love some new printings of the lesser known works of William Gaddis and Joseph McElroy. I got the recent hardcover edition of Women and Men from Dzanc Books and it's perfect, but McElroy's other work is a huge pain in the ass to find

Diary Of The Siege Of Constantinople, 1453. It sounds interesting but nearly impossible to find. There was one small printing and that's it. To be fair, there might be a reason for that, but still. I want to read it. The only version online is just a small fragment.
