I started collecting around a month ago, how am I doing? Mostly going for 1st editions as much as I can. Diplomacy is signed...

Based, I want to collect some C.S. Lewis I read Narnia as a child. I also go hunting on Craigslist and want to go thrifting to find rare books. It’s exciting like a treasure hunt to me

So they got their own LXX translation based on Brenton and the NKJV, and a NKJV NT. All because Thomas Nelson owns the rights to the NKJV. But the notes are good! And not just for catechumens.

3/4 Murakami isn't worth the money, I always buy his books from used shops for one or two coins. The guy is a pseudo Borges on acid who knows that is getting paid by word count.

If you haven’t already you should start with the Ante-Nicene Fathers and the Nicene-Post Nicene Fathers. The early Church is the backbone of everything else. The Fathers of the Church series by Catholic University of America press covers a bunch stuff the ANF & NPNF left out. And personally I’m into monasticism, so I would recommend Isaac the Syrian, Aimilianos, Brianchaninov, Sophrony, Cistercian Publications released a lot of note worthy titles, the Evergetinos, the stuff in my pic, and once you get into it and start checking the bibliographies you’ll begin to see certain names getting repeated and a pattern will emerge.

By filtering, I use all kind of keywords to find interesting things, it takes time, but I save a lot of money. At least on Amazon Japan the prices drop drastically when they have just a couple of copies left.
