What to read by him after Ficciones? Are there any collections that don't overlap significantly?

Not sure what you mean. The collections listed do not overlap. The only aberration is something the Americans published called "Labyrinths", which are just selected stories from Ficciones and The Aleph. If you want all his stories just get Collected Fictions.

The Aleph.
But the smartest thing to do would be to buy the Complete Short Stories and the Selected Essays, it will have 100% overlap with Ficciones, but is still cheaper and easier than burying all the books individually.
Picrel has only the original titles as published by Borges (more or less), if you, for some reason, don't want to buy a compilation.

Don't get these. If you're reading in English, the only good translations are the Giovanni ones. (Kerrigan for the the ones Giovanni didn't translate) Steer clear of the Hurley translation

If you want to read a collection of essays only, I'd recommend Other Inquisitions, broad reach of subjects and pretty interesting over all
