Yeah. Read it before the new movie misses the mark but is close enough to force its imagery into your reading.

No it's overrated ass hell. It is by far, by degrees of magnitude, the most overrated book in all of SFF.

>> No.18895215

>>18895062
Actually this is incorrect.

>> No.18895221

It's pretty good. Read the first one, if you liked it read two. If you liked both of those read three and four and not a page further.

Yes.

Read just like some boring sci-fi gay shit to me. I don't get the appeal of reading these basedjak star trek type novels.

It is awesome.

No, I have that Ace edition and the text goes to close to the spine.

Yeah it's a fun read. Medieval feudalism in space.

Imagine getting filtered by a sci-fi book

This guy.
It’s good, give it a chance.

it's fine, but the fact that it's considered the greatest work of sci-fi in history has convinced me to not read any more sci-fi

>> No.18896736

Dune was fucking awesome, dune messiah was alright, children of dune was good, and im 40 pages into god emperor and its fucking awesome again.

to be honest, dune is the star wars of scifi, especially the first two books. you have to read the fourth book to get the le cuhrazy shit but even then it's all exaggerated by people who don't really read often. Asimov is actual scifi.
