One, Isn’t manga on /a/? And two, it’s Ulysses, not an original manga you retard, I wanted /lit/ manga, as in /lit/core that had been adapted into manga, I probably should’ve elaborated on that, but long story short, I find it amusing. I don't think I have found a single manga that has been able to transcend so many genre cliches and present reality as brutally as Shigurui.
I don't really think it qualifies as a "/lit/ manga" since it doesn't really explicitly reference works of literature like Psycho pass(albeit those references were often really shoehorned). On the other hand it does involve a lot of Eastern symbolism and motifs such as the concept of the tiger versus the dragon and the carp's journey to becoming a dragon.
Blade of immortal was also a very splendid manga, not as serious in tone or presentation but still excellent.
