Undoing Aging by Aubrey de Grey is good too but even though I am more sympathetic to Aubrey's take this is the better written book.

I shouldn't leave him out, he's a nice guy who replied to my emails when I was looking for lab suggestions.
Also it's Ending Aging not undoing. Undoing Aging is the conference.

I didn't like the logic of it. It's like "woo but the people who REALLY wanted to live in the camp did and the ones that gave up on life didn't". Obviously you would give up on life if you are a jew in auszchwitz. And know that all your family would die a horrible death. He made it seem like it was worth living traumatised as hell after that with 0 living family members and everything. They gave up not because they didn't want to survive and live in a world like this. Not because they couldn't

Stop reading modern non-fiction. Anything published after the 1960s is complete garbage written SOLELY to profit the publishing company.

Wtf are you on about? If anything, most of the NF I read is scientific comms. Even if it does benefit the publishing company (what book doesnt?), the takeaways have remained the same for eons
