Christianity IS polytheistic, the bible refers to Elohim in plural. Both God and Satan are Elohim and there are allusions to the existence of more. Essentially the Bible is mostly descendant of Sumerian mythology and hence polytheism is conserved where it matters. The monotheism is a later invention, completely in odds with the christian holy texts.

Doesn't change the fact that Platonism in all forms has always been aligned with paganism (until being pagan started getting you burned at the cross). The school of Ammonius was the only one which in some ways pushed for Christianity, but there is a reason they mostly remained pagans. The eidos and the Neoplatonic doctrines of multiplicity are at odds with medieval scholasticism.
