Sup /lit/
First time here, so I wanted to know, what'd you think about House of Leaves?

What about Only Revolutions?

Personally, I found the first to be thoroughly enjoyable (and as soon as I find where the fuck it went, I'm gonna reread it.)

But Only Revolutions... I still haven't finished it. Can't quite get into it.

I love House of Leaves but /lit/ hates it because they're all pretentious hipster faggots that feel the need to hate all that is new and innovative

Oh...so what makes /lit/ hate it? It's manner of writing?

The endless footnotes? The long passages of history/rambling?

Because I loved it for all of those reasons. It's like playing a game while reading a book.

It's a regurgitation of a bunch or literary gimmicks that have all been used before.

Umm, there were many 'gimmicks' in the book that have not been used before. and the ones that have been used were used in a new way.

OP here. What gimmicks? I'm not saying there aren't, but specifically what gimmicks?

ITT a bunch of blowhards mad they didn't write it first.

This book is off the chain and will reward patient, steadfast readers in ways that few other books I know of will.

Especially if you're stoned.
