>You read Marx, then you become marxist
>You read Hobbes, then you become Hobessian
>You read Machiavelli, then you become Machiavellian.

See the pattern? Your paradigm shift is depending on what other people had told their opinion to you in their books. You have No independent mind.

How we read is far urgent than what we read. Read logically (see the pattern and come to conclusion based on consistent premises) and read critically (Wow, is this true? Did the author write the book based on cognitive bias? I have to figure it out).

This called as “deep reading.”

Without this intellectual efforts, sorry to say—you are just like childrens who get indoctrinated easily.

To be mature is to be emancipated intellectually (just like aufklarung philosophers who were free thinkers).

I read Marx & Engels and to a lesser extent Adorno, Fromm, Deleuze and Foucault precisely to better shit on Marxists
I like Deleuze though, didn't expect anything going in but he's pretty based

>Deleuze
Have you ever heard that he get debunked by anglo scientist during mid 90’s era for using exact science terms in his philosophical works without understanding about the terms ?

I hate philosophers who were using fancy scientific academic terms to explain obvious things. A perfect definition of “trying too hard to look smart.”

Depends why you refute him. If you are a post-Modernist heathen it's easy to dogmatically refute platonism, or if you just parrot Nietzsche's refutation of metaphysics you're equally a brainlet.

If you can pinpoint plato's arguments and think independently why you disagree in a reasonable way you earn a badge of smartness

I think most of us have done this when we were young and impressionable. I did so with Marx when I was 15. I learned a great lesson after digging myself in a leftist-liberal equality hole of dogs shit

Based. By the way to falsify or refute philosophical proposition, one should figure out the inconsistency between the premises and conclusion and to examine it based on objective empirical condition.

The best thing in philosophy is you read philosophical text and then you try to falsify it. This made you intellectually trained person.

You mean when he tried to posit science, philosophy and the arts as 3 distinct categories? Never heard of it but I didn't agree with that part aswell
I just like him because he's the only one in the commie vortex that has a naturalistic understanding of morality, but I hate how both him and Foucault took the worst part of Nietzsche (will to power) and made it a central point projecting it on the herd as a collective
