The only way you can have a personal assurance about this matter is to read and pray. Examine all the religions which claim to have some kind of universal truth or which have a philosophical/apologetic tradition. I think any rational person, provided they give each religion a fair hearing, would have to eventually conclude from this that no existing religion can offer salvation. Or, at the very least, they would have to conclude that there are no good arguments for supposing that any of them can. Now, that doesn't mean you can't be religious. It just means you'd have to take a less metaphysically robust view of religion.
If you are a college student, start by taking some religious studies courses if possible to get a foundation on how to critically and scientifically study religion without much bias, and only then would I recommend you to delve into philosophy of religion. Otherwise, you can educate yourself by reading books.
