Because atheism is about rejection of religion. Real religions are based on the idea these deities exist and have some moral will for every human. Atheists merely don't believe in the fairy tales that have no empirical basis. Religious people trying to label atheism as a religion is nothing but a desperate attempt to save face and try also to make atheism look as cringe and uncool as possible so they can recruit more low intellect zealots. Atheism is a holding pattern for the categorical of deities, concepts of souls and afterlives. It waits for proof.
Atheism has no need for organized converters to descend upon upon people who think differently. They build no temples. Science is another matter altogether.

Agnosticism is a holding pattern one can sit comfortably on for a day or two. It’s also a word used to shut schizophrenics up. To confidently proclaim that you know nothing and anything can sway you is quite atheist. Unless you’re a believer in some kind of deity. In that case you’re simply shopping around, waiting for some divine intervention.

I don't subscribe to any religion, but I don't believe in the chaos of nature. "Chaos" is just order we haven't grasped yet. The more we learn about the universe, the more we realise how uncannily orderly it is. I believe that there is somethig creating that order, but I my intellect is not good enough to encircle it. I suspect it is akin to Heraclitus' concept of the Logos. Is that order conscious like me? Could a description like "conscious" even be sufficiently applicable at that level? I don't know. I think that humans innately believe that there is a way to how things operate, and we've tried to grasp it by transforming this instinct into concepts and systems, especially the idea of God. I can't say I personally believe in any dieties, but I do believe in the Universal Order, the Logos.
