Never get demoralised. Keep making posts with effort. They are silently read even if they don't get bumped. I've posted about some obscure topics or shared some rare ebooks that seemingly got no attention, then seen them pop up in other anons' posts.

you aren't deliberately shitposting, which is basically shit to these eflies

It's not easy to predict which threads are going to flop, which will get jannied, and which will do 350 replies. You gotta swing at the pitches at my friend.

>> No.18821650

I’ve only had two threads go big maybe, and both times they were bait shit I didn’t really care about and I didn’t even bother reading the replies. That’s not to say that there are no good long threads on /lit/ — there are, but I think you have to be either skilled at making them or just lucky. Bait is more likely to get a ton of replies which is sad but unavoidable.

refutable.

I think I can tell from the first few posts and the OP pretty well, at least the ones that are (you) magnets.

>>18821374
Threads have little value on this site. That being said, >>18821410's statement is true -- write for the lurkers of the board too. I've read thousands and thousands of "sneeds" et al., but the handful of effortposts have marked me.

>your OP is not twitter bait
>your OP contains zero opinions or even texts from which to start a discussion
>your OP demands that other people provide OC while offering nothing in return
>your OP is uninteresting
>your OP is largely based in a fantasy that all those smart people would recognize you're a good guy when you're mostly interested in not being lonely and using other people to fulfill your empty heart
>your OP shows you're far more interested in shitposting than in any book
These won't necessarily make your thread flop, but I assumed your idea of flopping is WHY ISN'T EVERYONE PAYING ATTENTIONS TO ME?!?!?!

>> No.18821740

Give me something to work with. I like a topic where I can post something obviously retarded which is tangentially related to the topic, then derail the thread into people seething at my shenanigans or taking time to try to prove me wrong.

>> No.18821788

All my threads are demoralizing threads or self pity threads about how I can't do X thing despite never having tried doing that thing.

You need a powerful base/bait to start with, the kind of threads that get a lot of replies are in the archive, look for bait threads with lots of replies and learn from it. It's got to be something that makes people mad, /pol/bait threads work well.

>> No.18821804

probably because of fucking jannies. whenever I make a based thread with a bait current event OP tied into literature and it gets full of actual literature discussion some faggot tranny janny comes along to shit on my fun. FUCKING JANNIES CLEAN THIS THREAD UP RIGHT NOW.

Just get into your phone and make threads there. If you get banned keep resetting your mobile data by switching from 4g to 3g. Make sure to make a thread insulting the tranny janny. Make sure that faggot cleans it up

It's best to use a /lit/ sacred cow who most of the anons will have read, or at least pretend to have read, then point out an obvious flaw, but point it out in the most obnoxious way you can. Obviously something like 'why is stoner so misogynistic?' has been played to death. You have to find fresh angles

Spuriously retarded with deep relevance to readers is my main.

It mostly baits idiots though.

>bait current event OP tied into literature and it gets full of actual literature discussion
You're welcome. A lot of these threads get deleted because the reportfags cannot conceive of books being written about X, where X is something their normie brain has been told is Other. I love racing jannies to get a bibliography in there before it gets deleted after reportfags reply (Most don't even sage the reply). Reportfags are the carcinogenic factor of the board. It's a slow growing tumor of the past few years, along with increasing demands for policing and reports
>tfw /lit/ used bully mods into crying and reversing their decisions by forcefeeding them the literary relevance of what their ignorant ass just deleted
You don't need more police; you need to practise bending someone backwards over a barrel on their position on lesbian cannibals, and force them to concede it was the height of late Victorian verse until they admit exactly how little Swinburne they have read. Then bend them the other way until they break and reconsider writing anything.
