I can't really articulate, with any clarity, how excited I actually am for this. Not because of the content of the book, nor the reputation of the author, but over the prospect of getting to watch a lil guy fulfill his lil dreams of being read and liked, even if all the gruppy jerks around here choose to have a negative perspective on his work regardless of its merit on its own. L'Academie has a trite premise, the summary reads like something vomited out by a corporate AI designed to create YA that will certainly sell. But it wont be an AI, though a chink may not be far off, it'll be our lil R.C. Waldun. And he is ours, manyhere wont like that and he certainly doesnt realize it. But like a good wife, contrary to whatever his little reptile rbain in his little yellow head thinks, he is spiritually connected to us; the amount of time he no doubt spends thinking about the comments some have written here, and have trickled to him one way or the other, have rendered him one of us just as we in being so awfully cruel to each other are connected. God did this. Thank God for this. I wanna have consensual gay relations with waldun.
