Janitor. I spend 4 or 5 hours reading and then spend a few hours emptying garbage cans and swinging a mop while listening to audiobooks.

Fulltime? Does your city or county pay for the library?

What an awesome gig, man. I've been looking into working at my university library. For me, the access to academic journals makes it worth it, but then, to get really good health insurance on top of it sweetens the deal. Enjoy the job.

What sort of an establishment do you janitor at?

What are the people you work with like? Do their jobs seem desirable?

Only part time but they do offer full time for this position. I only need to work like 20 hours a week in order to pay for bills. I don't know about how the library makes money but I think its probably a combination of both.

Haven't really interacted with any of my coworkers outside of mindless chitchat of what book we're reading or what show they're watching. 90% of the time self help or netflix garbage.

Also librarian, don't get much time to read while at work (especially in the summer), but I read the summaries and leaf through new books when there's an influx to know what to recommend to plebs and filter out the ones that could work or be worthwhile for me.

>Also librarian

Oooh, interesting.
Would you mind answering a few questions, please?

What's it like being a librarian?

What're your co-workers like?

What do you spend most of your time doing?

Is it boring/stressful/etc?

Is the pay good?

What about the MLIS? Can you do anything else with this qualification?

Thank you
