most birth defects are caused by shit lifestyles of their parents, still don’t get why people blame God for the mistakes that humanity created for themselves

1. TO KILL IS SINFUL, REGARDLESS OF THE MOTIVE, MEDIVM, OR PURPOSE, SINCE A LIFE IS EXTINGUISHED, AND ALL LIFEFORMS ULTIMATELY HAVE THEIR ROOTS IN GOD.

2. THE CHRISTIAN THING TO DO IN SUCH CASES IS NOT THE COMPASSIONATE THING, BUT, RATHER, THE CHARITABLE THING, WHICH CONSISTS IN ALLEVIATING PAIN, AND FACILITATING THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF LIFE POSSIBLE IN THE GIVEN CONDITIONS.

3. COMPASSION IS MERE PITY; CHARITY IS PROACTIVE LOVE; EUTHANASIA IS SOFT SACRIFICE; ALL SACRIFICES FEED THE PERPETUAL ENEMY.

Why should the baby be punished for its parents mistakes? Why did God design humans in such a way that the baby is punished instead of the parents?

God designed humans to be compassionate, thus it is worse to see suffering than it is to suffer, and damnable to knowingly be the cause of someone else's suffering.

Not all humans are compassionate. My aunt did drugs while pregnant with all five of her kids and most of them have suffered consequences because of that. She doesn’t give a shit. All she cares about is getting high.

I’m aware. Original sin is one of Christianity’s central doctrines and that based on all of us, the children of Adam and Eve, inheriting their sin. It’s just ironic because the Bible talks a lot about children not inheriting the sins of their father.

the transcendental aesthetic is the easy bit anon. I'm still not sure how he is able to deduce the concept of cause and effect transcendentally.

Or rather, it talks a lot about children not inheriting the sins of their father in some places. In other places it contradicts itself and says that children do inherit the sins of their father.

You can be the most compassionate person in the world but I don't think seeing an emaciated concentration camp inmate is ever worse than being said inmate, unless perhaps you are their mother or father.

It's more or less the same principle, in its core, as Buddhist and Hindu rebirths, just without the explicit use of the concept of transmigration. The exact origin and destination of the soul before and after life are left as mysteries in Christianity, whereas the Indians felt the need to speculate exactly on this idea. The only benefit of explicitly expounding the idea of rebirth is that it makes it easier to explain birth defects and other natural deformities, which Christianity lacks in an explicit form (they have to simply rely on "original sin", without explicitly explaining what this might mean, because it's a dogmatic mystery). In a way this is good taste, because transmigration reeks of sentimental mysticism, but at the same time it creates problems for certain layman interpretation of Christian doctrine.

I prefer the Eastern concept of karma and rebirth. At least you’re being punished for your own sins, albeit sins you committed when you were someone else. With Christianity, you are being punished for the sins of Adam and Eve, who have nothing to do with you save the fact they are your very very distant ancestors.

So then let them continue to hurt themselves instead of punishing an innocent just for the purpose of teaching someone else a lesson.

Than they could just continue ending up hurting themselves and possibly others later down the road. Possibly leading harm to more than just one person who is innocent.
