I still don't get what magic realism is. I've read 100 years of solitude and midnight children (albiet long ago). Would something like Harry Potter be considered MR?

yes

It's the miscarriaged child of German mysticism and East European ability to tap into the dreaming world soul

Just sappy stories with simmering irrational elements in them never capable of fundamentally overtaking or altering apparent reality

So the 'irrational elements' are superfluous?

The irrational isn't real.

>I still don't get what magic realism is.

«MAGICAL REALISM» IS A SPURIOUS, VAGUE TERM FABRICATED BY GERMANIC CRITICS, AND POPULARIZED BY ANGLOIDS, THAT REFERS TO LITERARY NARRATIVE FICTION THAT PRESENTS POETICAL ELEMENTS THAT ARE HYPERREALISTIC, AND/OR SUPRANATURALISTIC, INTEGRATED WITHIN A REALISTIC NARRATIVE.

THIS TYPE OF FICTION IS ERRONEOUSLY TERMED: «MAGICAL REALISM», BECAUSE, TO THE ANGLOID, AND GERMANIC, MINDSETS NARRATIVE FICTION THAT IS RATIONALISTIC & REALISTIC WITHOUT BEING KITSCHY SCHLOCK, AND POETICALLY ECCENTRIC WITHOUT BEING CENTRIFUGAL TRASH, OR TOPICALLY WHIMSICAL WITHOUT BEING GENRE DRIVEL, IS VIRTUALLY INCONCEIVABLE, AND A THING OF MARVEL, THEREFORE THEY REDUCED IT TO THE NOTION OF «MAGIC» IN A FUTILE ATTEMPT TO DESCRIBE IT, CLASSIFY IT, AND UNDERSTAND IT.

>Would something like Harry Potter be considered MR?

NO; THE «HARRY POTTER» SERIES IS PURE FANTASY KITSCHY SCHLOCK.

Depends on the book and intent of the author

Most of the time they end up feeling that way

I want to ejaculate inside that cat. And then throw the dying body out my fourth floor apartment window.
