Fencing tournaments need a better way to light the piste. Thin foil blades + pitch black backgrounds make them almost invisible.

You don't watch the foil, you watch body movement, same as if you were fencing, foil often moves quicker than the eye can see.

Sure, but for spectators the bladework is the most impressive part. At the moment, basically only those who already play it can enjoy watching it.

Most of the blade work is to fast to effectively highlight without obscuring something else. This is a lot of sports, tennis and hockey for example, you can not really track a ball/puck traveling at 100mph, you either watch the players or you are lost. Both tennis and hockey have tried various ways to highlight the ball/puck going back to the 80s, always fails because it obscures what is actually going on.

Foucault.vs.Chomsky, particularly the second half. Particularly when Foucault turns to Chomsky with those glazed 1000yd eyes and says, "If the proletariat liquidiate the bourgeoisie as the physical liquidation of their constituent members, then this is correct, because they are the proletariat."

You can basically see Chomsky dissolve as he cries those liberal tears. An Eagle called SOLIDARITY FOREVER flies into the room and perches on a red and a black flag. Everyone in the room sings, "I dreamt I saw Joe Hill last night." and detonates a car bomb outside a police station.
