You can just sense the anger emanating from the writers inability to capture the feminine in their form. A person who spews this level of vitriol must be so violently indoctrinated into hate that it must form the core of their being, blind seething rage knowing that you were born a man despite what the psychologist told you.

I guess even a broken clock is right twice a year.

/lit/ spends more time taking pictures of bookshelves than actually discussion literature. None of you can even name a single theme from your favorite book. Is it really any surprise that you're all a bunch of pseudo-intellectuals?

Not really defending /lit/, I think that charts are fucking retarded, but his critique is bland and obvious. Give him my upvote

>> No.18760286

4chan for as long as I can remember (2009) has been about knowing there is something fundamentally wrong with the world today, but being unable to really do more than talk about it because everyone here is battling some sort of attention deficit issue or an inability to focus. Western civilization is this beautiful thing worth saving? Absolutely. But nobody bothers to really dig in to appreciate it because who really wants to slog through it all?

I read Thucydides, Sophocles, Homer, Plato and Aristotle in college to get my POLS bachelors. I liked some of it, I was bored by a lot of it, and I told myself I got my dose and wouldn't ever need to return to that. Now that I'm even more of an ADD-basketcase today as I was ten years ago when I was a twenty year old undergrad I don't think the odds of me sitting down for that stuff is any better.

Cope with what? The chart is about 4chan's taste, not le greatest diversity books. He's literally just angry because we included Pynchon and Joyce instead of le vagina writers, muh queers, or le niggerinos. Textbook School of Resentment.

the comment in OP. he's whining about the books in a typical lit 100 and then suggests they should be supplanted by other works that are so closely related but not quite as well known (but to anyone here, probably around the same level of eminence). it's retarded to expect this from a top 100 consensus and the poster only proves themself to be a posturing reprobate
