I'm not talking about meme books, rather something about ancient genetics and anthropology. I just spent an hour reading about the genetic/linguistic/ethnic history of Papua and now I'm hooked. Recommend books on genetics, population flows, and ancient extinct races. I once spent several months reviewing the expedition logs of a 1930's anthropological mission to the near east and it was fascinating. Old is not a barrier to entry; I just want something thorough. I want to properly understand all the haplogroup shop talk on twitter. I want to properly study hundreds of peoples that populate this earth. For the Jannies who deleted this post earlier, I am quite genuine and bear no ill will for any of these races.

Also for those who think this is a waste of time, people really appreciate it if you can discriminate properly. A prog sees a Ute, an Igbo or a Uighur and just thinks oppressed person. I can talk with them about the culture and history of their people. I spent an hour speaking with my Korean boss at a dinner about the origins of the Korean races.
