What are some good books fro 5-8 year olds?

Been reading White Fang and thinking it's good for 10-12 year olds, but what about the younger lot?

I used to read a certain series about a young detective girl when I was in 5th/6th grade but I can't remember since that was back in the early 2000s.
I would definitely recommend those but I have no idea which series it specifically was.
