Peterson is a philosophically-informed psychologist and Zizek is a psychoanalytically informed philosopher. The debate was over philosophical marxism so Peterson was at a disadvantage (it was also pretty obvious that Peterson hadn't done much research on Zizek and that Zizek took the debate much more seriously in terms of it being a competitive meeting). Zizek boxed Peterson in by deep diving into philosophical concepts but it was mostly sophistry (Zizek is better at being vague while giving a broad philosophical context to what he's saying and trapped Peterson by accusing him of doing the same thing).

Anyway, as far as talking heads go they're better than the culture deserves. There's really no reason to care enough to have a strong opinion of either of them and most opinions about them are reactive.
