HTWFAIP sounds sociopathic from the title but the book is just about being thoughtful and considerate and getting along. I believe in the Creator but I don't subscribe to any religion; I'm developing my own

I would like to hear about that religion. Also the fact that you read that book and are now making a religion is a bit disconcerting, I hope you're on a genuine path and not just making up something to get a following...

Good taste.
I also keep track of what I have read, I started in 2019 because I think it's nice to know when I finished a book.

Read Dante. You are more than ready for the Comedy. I recommend either Dorothy L. Sayers' translation or the Longfellow translation. Read some epic poetry. Read some poetry, fill your mind with some beauty. Read the English Romantics, too. Read Keats' great odes. Read Spenser. Read something that makes your spine tingle. You seem as though you have read much prose, read some poetry.

Are you trying to brag? I wish I could read fast but I also don't understand how one can read a book on history in 2 days, even if you're fast enough to scan the words as fast.

I bought a book on the wolve packs in Yellowstone ("Wolf 21, would recommend btw.) and I won't ever read more than 20 pages at a time. I mean I work a 8 hour job and have to take care of family and hobby issues, don't you?

>what's the most spiritually powerful book you've ever read?

The Lord of the Rings. Especially towards the end, when The Scouring Of The Shire happens, or when Sam must put on the Ring.

Perhaps Moby-Dick, though it is less overtly mystical. It's very powerful for physical effect, though.

If there's a massive nonfiction book in there with only two days since the last one, I took a break to read a smaller, easier book. I don't read especially fast, I just spend hours at a time reading, and I don't have much of a social life.

I'm searching for meaning, for 'the answer.'

I didn't know Asimov was an atheist till like last year. In his book Gold (which is short stories puplished after he passed) Asimov has a robot planning on killing its owner cause he wants to be an author.

Asimov was an atheist. Think that is why he passed relatively early. Book Nemisis has some spiritual oneness overtones. Think Asimov was struggling at the end of his life with spirituality.
