That final part is completely unrelated to the rest of the novel. Maybe kutuzov sort of incarnate that conclusion but that's it. Taking that out it is still an amazing novel which goes into so much more than the final conclusion, and Tolstoy himself is one of the most interesting characters in it when offering his insight, and if you discard all of that because he does not idolize muh strong man like the faggots you are you are better off giving up on reading and try to connect with your father. He won't love forever, so you better get the most out of the little time he has left in this world
