Honestly it's not even esoteric, the theory is presented in a factual way with a lot of interesting parallels being drawn to various other subjects. The authors makes some minor mistakes (like the common misinterpretation of the double slit experiment as a proof that consciousness affects the behavior of subatomic particles) but overall it's pretty solid and insightful, and even if you disagree with the metaphysical worldview being presented, it'll give you things to ponder considering the breadth of subjects being brought up.

I think materialism at that level of physicality becomes a faith in its own right. I think they're worse than what people say, and it's not reducible to simple explanations like anthropogenic climate change.

Birds, for example, are good indicators of the health of ecosystems, and many of them are dying out (maybe due to 5G which is being blamed on corona instead). A ton of bird species have died out in the USA as an example.

A list of all environmental problems would cover several volumes (e.g., ozone depletion, ocean acidification and pollutants, etc.)

David Attenborough recently attended a World Economic Forum symposium where he discussed the massive die-out of the world's biodiversity, and in one of his documentaries he hinted the only way to rehabilitate the world is with decreasing human population. He did not say this explicitly, but I am pretty sure that goal coincides with World Economic Forum and the International Elite.
