How much do you read per day?

I usually read 80-100 pages but it depends on the book as well

Pic unrelated

it depends on my workload and on what I'm reading. I usually read more than 50 pages 1 to 3 times a week and less than 20 at the rest. During vacations, I read up to 100 pages every other day.

What do you do with your lives? Are you neets who just read?
Even if I wasn't working, there are many other things I like to do besides reading all day long everyday.

20 pages MAXIMUM, how the fuck do you pay attention for over an hour I literally start falling asleep no matter the style, pace, genre, or author WHAT THE FUCK

>> No.18691360

If you read philosophy with the full intent of remembering what you're reading afterward, taking notes, making connections, and reading at my pace which is 20 pages an hour, then 600 pages means 30 hours. I can't do that. Whatever it is you're reading is either baby goop or your brain is just not grasping what you're reading, and I guarantee you this is not good. There's no point reading unless you can just as equally write down an extensive review of the material later. I can usually do that.
>>18689544
On days I have time to read I aim for 50, but I've done 100 sometimes and less than 50 other times. Too many things compete for my attention, many productive, but still.

I literally read 60 consecutive pages of Deleuze with fantastic attentiveness after hours of watching sissy porn. Pretty sure porn isn't the issue.

Yea, but you kind have to watch sissy porn to get Deleuze, so its denititely an exeption

99.99% of all people have little of import to say. Fishing for the few that do is an unwise time expenditure. During the late 18. century, some of the founding father of the US had correspondences of up 20 pages. Put against a single-world reply, an acronym or abbreviation or emoji, you'd get from most unwilling to put in the effort, it's better to read anything in any language from the past 5 or 6 thousand years.

Well, back in 2019-2020 when I really was a neet I usually read 200 pages or more, I've had a job since January so I've cut back a bit. Granted, I usually only work 30-35 hours a week so that still leaves a lot of time for reading and working on music, which is what a spend the majority of my time on.

It's fine if you're happy with this, but don't ever complain you don't have friends.

I pushed away the few people that were once close to me for a variety of reason, but the was one of them.
I doubt I'll ever feel close to another human, doubt more so that I'd call somebody a friend.
I merely want good-faith, moderately intellectual humans to converse with.
..rather than coercing myself to address books or my reservoirs of opinions, viewpoints, stereotypes, and arguments amassed over time, to construct opposing side/s.
I'll be content once in the woods forever.
