I can't see how the "when things get bad enough" outlook has any merit anymore. How bad is "bad enough" exactly? When half of your cities are riddled with shantytowns? When your government implements police enforced curfews and anti-gathering (protest) laws? When your capital is cordened off by barbed wire and swarming with soldiers? The average American, especially the average upper-middle-class citizen, is still doing pretty well, especially in the Midwest and the South. Almost nobody is on social media and most of the awful shit is consigned to the coasts and the Pacific Northwest. The vast majority of people in the bulk of the country are only now realizing that something is wrong. Hence the presence of people like Abbott and DeSantis in the powerful right-wing states. Things are only just now starting to get truly interesting in America.

It was more of a rhetorical question. Its strange to me how many people get off of making themselves fearful and sad.
Honestly Im not that scared since I cant do anything about it. I just take it as it comes. I go on living trying to find the beauty in every aspect of my life. My life has an aim and I try to reach it.
I do try bringing up to people how cancerous the vaccine is though. I've no idea if it has any impact, but I'm doing my duty of warning them.
