I spent $400 on an e-reader and several hours importing my book backlog onto it only to discover that our brains prevent us from becoming fully engrossed in a text if it’s being displayed on a screen. I grew disgusted with myself and this demoralizing society and I vowed to never read again

Yeah, I find I can read nonfiction (with the exception of certain histories that are well written as high literature) electronically, and it's no big deal. But I have to novels as a physical book. Poetry I'm on the fence with. Can do either, but prefer a physical book
