The Protestant Old Tetament canon is the same as the Tanakh. Catholics and Orthodox churches have more books.

It isn't. The order of books is different and I believe the Tanankh has additional material toward th end

Tanakh has no additional material and has one less psalm. The order is mostly similar but Jews put Daniel and Ruth in the last section called Writings wheres christians put Ruth between Samuel and Judges and Daniel in the prophets. Tanakh orders by date of authorship whereas OT orders based on setting of the book

>> No.18631740

Let's be real, the only valid OT is the Orthodox OT

>The term Old Testament, with its implication that there must be a corresponding New Testament, suggests to some that Judaism’s Bible and by extension Judaism are outdated and incomplete.
Correct.
>ome Orthodox communions only use the Greek translation of the Hebrew (the Septuagint)—which varies in word choices and length from the Masoretic (Hebrew) Text.
Incredibly based.
>Jesus would have heard his Scriptures in Hebrew
Proof? By that time, everyone was using the LXX and people were speaking Greek.
