I may go out and buy Ulysses as I've been planning to do for awhile. That, or read my favorite stories from Dubliners.

Read Ulysses in one day.

Joyce would have dug it.
I'm hoping to go into Dublin, but last year I felt a demoralized because going to a milkshake bar was the height of the day. (Yes, it's 3:36 in Ireland).
Also I shall hope to buy some books in Chapters, paragon of bookshops. I might have to walk the city alone, that's another consideration.

Ulysses is my favourite novel.

I like in Ireland.

I'm sitting in my pants. :-/ I really should get round to celebrating some year.

There are two.

The abridged one is high-quality with music, a male and female actor and some sound effects. The unabridged is frantic and crazy and read by an Irish man.

Torrents are available online. (Don't have any more info at this time, sorr)

Alright, after work I went to the library and wound up reading 3 stories from Dubliners (The Sisters, An Encounter, Araby) and it left me wanting to read the rest.

Then I opened Ulysses and began to read it; I'm not far in yet but I really like it so far, gonna read the whole thang.

I also had a look at Finnegans Wake, and... I think maybe I'll uh...save that one for later, or somethin...yyyeah

there's cake in there?

fffuccckk, i left it at the library!

I might read it eventually, but after glimpsing the first page I had to snap it closed immediately before i began to fart and sigh with lust and hitch up my frills to frig myself right there at the study table

>>1855879
How come? I'm quite enjoying it already; I'll probably read Dubliners simultaneously, though. Why should I read Portrait?

Portrait is Stephen growing up, Ulysses follows a few years after with Stephen as one of the main characters. I feel the rest should be self-explanatory.

It has also been said that he narrates several stories of Dubliners, so you should read it first.

Well, I will keep this information in mind as I read, but i'm a groping madman with things that interest me, proper sequence is something i frequently bowl over either by accident, indifference, or active experimentation

>> No.1855931

Did anybody go to a reading today? I went to the Bloomsday reading in Philly. I stayed for about 4 chapters. There was a decent amount of people there.
