What books are they hoarding in the Vatican secret library?
Are they hiding any great works from us?

I got an idea actually. I think the Vatican could 'open' the library as in they can translate texts and sell books as a publisher just like Penguin or university presses do. Something like untranslated one side translated other side. They can sell these translations and make money all the while normal people can access these books without having the Vatican copies.

>>18518522
There were, historically, periods where it was open. It's mostly just correspondences between churches, some of which are embarrassing because they church looks bad

1)The Vatican already makes more money that you could imagine, they deal with drug cartels and the like
2)Why would they sell you translation of shit they want to keep secret?

They let the high IQ Christ cucks in to read the heretical texts so they can better argue against them and pass on those arguments to the low iq Christ cucks

the classical mayan civilization collapsed in the 9th century. and all those aztec books were debt records which the subject tribes wanted burned, otherwise it's a little hard to explain why the surviving codexes were commissioned by spaniards

ARE YOU HIDING ANY GREAT WORKS FROM ME?

>> No.18522840

Well, I mean that's just it. They've got centuries worth of documentation in the Vatican Libraries, most of it is probably dead dull, but mixed among which are true gems. (Not to mention, plenty of early stuff, and probably the largest latin, hebrew & greek collections anywhere.)

>> No.18523131

They have several tens of thousands of books from Ethiopia, which presumably they don't know how to read. I bet there's some real gems in there that nobody will ever know about.

I actually do biblical studies. The thing is, if you aren't dedicated enough to learn the languages and read the books already made freely available by the Vatican, then you have no business complaining about what is not available.
Think of it this way
>be the Vatican
>preserve knowledge for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years while nogs of all colors are nogging out. You do it for the greater good of nogmanity
>when people become more literate, you make more material more available, such as open access high quality scans.
>Nogs get mad when muh Vatican doesn't admit to being reptillians.

If universities weren't homosexual they would have research teams digging through these works and translating them. I am unfortunately a monolingual pleb form a middle class family, so I never even had a chance
