I simply can not relate to those writers and artists that get all sorts of existential dread from the large scope, bigger picture nature of writing and creating. Yes, in an industrialized capitalist society for it to obtain the highest amount of attention possible it has to become some kind of profitable product, but that doesn't take away from the essence of the art form itself in any capacity. The writing sheets of Bach were used to wrap fish in the street markets within days of his death, if I recall correctly, and that doesn't take way from the artistic achievement of his music. Then again, we are but monkeys in a physical world that makes constant demands for maintenance and supplying. If our motivation has to become bitches and money, then that's how it gotta be. Let us be deeply flawed and greedy animals, the works we create will be eternal, as long as we do not sell our souls to the format and start creating what will be fashionable and marketable.

Create FIRST, then market it. All great works of art are first works of originality that challenge the medium, not conform to it. Be a Madvillain, not a G-Eazy.
