Robert Graves or Edith Hamilton?

Is this the dry, factual Graves or uninhibited, passionate and taking-liberties-with-the-source-material Graves that wrote this one?

Bullfinch is also an option OP.

I have this. Each myth is written by a famous writer.

>> No.18486184

graves injects his retarded matriarchy theories, hamilton is an annoying woman, she injects her retarded, false opinions. hamilton is worse probably.
>why tho
because it's more accurate.

>> No.18486226

Hamilton because bulfinch's target were children

Graves is better in my opinion, and 95% of the myths are represented correctly. The only matriarchal bs I can remember from the book is the analysises of the stories he would put after the myths which you can skip (or read, most of them are pretty interesting, even if wrong) and some of his ideas about the Pelasgian civilization. Honestly its really well written and Id recommend you read it. Thats how I was introduced to the myths.

>> No.18486359

>>18486329
The Pelasgian creation myth is the only made-up thing by Graves that comes to mind. And even than his argument revolves around the theory that it was the Indo-Europeans that brought patriarchy to the lands they conquered, which sounds like a cool story especially if you are one of the descendants of said Aryans or are interested early Indo-European history, society, language, religion, etc.
