Yes. It's the best Victorian meganovel by far. The only writer who was prepared to have his idealized moralistic heroine actually be sort of annoying and shallow. Her opposite number is both more sympathetic than other bad girls from the period, and does far worse things too.

Vauxhall Square gardens and the pre Waterloo party are amazing descriptions and the long section with Becky grifting people who lent her money is real life.
