It's curious how postmodernism has singlehandedly destroyed the notion of common good within fifty years. A concept that was older than the Greeks, that was heavily promoted by the Church, that Rousseau saved from the middle ages, absolutely demolished after the 2WW. Popper and the rise of identity politics killed it. Now everything is a fight between egoistical parties. Do you realize what does this mean? It's the rupture of society. The Republic, the res- public (the public thing) is dissolved, there's nothing public anymore, nothing to strive for as a collective of united wills. Let's make a minute of silence in remembrance of it.
