Anyone got a reading order for this autist?

>> No.18464450

you read the first thing he wrote, then the second, then the third and so on until you're done

The problem with stuff like this is that authors' insights aren't immanently available to you outside of their historical context. You should read him chronologically, read his letters, his biography, what he read, and so forth. It's a gargantuan task but this is true understanding. Anything else leaves you with the atrophied shadow of the author. There's nothing wrong with not reading someone in full depth, we only have so much time alive, but if someone is serious about understanding an author, then this is what needs to be done.

I would read depending what you're interested in. e.g.:
Thus Spoke Zarathustra - introduction to the concept of the Übermensch, poetic but reads a bit like the bible in places
The Antichrist - Christian bashing and Buddhism fanboying
Nietzsche Contra Wagner - Wagner's writing sucks... and here's why

What's the best editions to read Nietzsche?

You unironically have to start with the greeks to fully understand some arguments of his.
After finishing Platos Monolog and stuff, a deep dive into Wagners Music is needed. Best case is you go to bayruth and listen to a orchestar.
After that ordeal you can start with zarathustra or ecce Homo. Happy Science comes afterwards and to round it all some youtube videos i guess. Youtube videos are really important because each youtuber has his own interpretation of nietzsche

Then there is also the problem that Nietzsche didn't like to be controlled, and made it hard on purpose for people to understand him.

>> No.18465340

>>18465163
Stirner, Kant and Schopenhauer take almost a lifetime to understand, and ONLY then are you allowed to start on Nietzsche which takes another lifetime to understand.
