Just picked this up from B&F for 20 dollars; I thought, "Well, I'm going on vacation and I need something pretty hefty to read, why not read some Verne because it's been awhile?"

So, what's your opinion on Verne /lit/?

I haven't actually read anything by him, although I've been meaning to since childhood. I'm jelly of he sweet edition you got.

I was looking around and I mean I was catching the novels on their own at like 13 dollars.

This shit was a bargain and they had soooo many others - all of Poe's stuff, Lewis Carroll, Hans Christinsan, Grimm Tales, Arabian Nights, Shakespeare, Ann Rice, HG Wells, Hemingway novels, all with sick ass covers.

Uh, I'd say it DOES feel a tad thinner than most books. Not like crazy thin but - think like three steps up from see-through animation paper.

Though, the gold reflective lining on the pages and the insanely cool hard cover really make up for that minor inconvenience.

The first novel in the seven total:

"5 Weeks in a Balloon"

I hear a lot of rumbles in jungles about Verne; it is a shame I never got a chance to read him yet...
