Put a bunch of words down this morning at 5:30 before I fell asleep. Just looking for any kind of criticism. And in case it matters, I typically write a lot, but this is the first time I've taken a stab at this kind of writing.


Into the morning air
two of six senses, stare
Looking to see where life and death are one
Cold in its silence,
poignantly still, its animation
Sounds begin to fill this warm box of darkness
Daily cogs begin to spin
Songs flutter in and out of wind
Trees stretch their spines and limbs
And time begins to follow suit
Picking up where they left off,
the worker bees begin to swim,
Buzzing fills this radiant ocean
that was once destitute
