Does anyone love W. Somerset Maugham as much as i do?
I almost never see him discussed here. The man was based, wrote quality shit and lived the literary life. He should be a hero of /lit/

/lit/ is becoming less and less interested in great, important fiction of the past. I haven't gotten around to reading any of his stuff yet unfortunately. What would you recommend?

How is Of Human Bondage?
It’s the only thing I know of by him

I bought like 5 of his book (they were dirt cheap, nearly free) on a whim a few weeks back. I still haven't read them but thought I might start with The Moon and Sixpence during this summer.

Of Human Bondage is his acknowledged classic so that's a good place to start but all his novels are quality and his short stories are brilliant.
