I do not know if there is a good English translation but Le porche du mystère de la deuxième vertu by Péguy is very seminal.

Is it not a little contradictory to look for life-affirming sentiments in anything truly Christian, since a major point of the faith is the fallen and decaying nature of us as we await the good that follows death? This was Nietzsche's autistic fixation/objection to it anyway. If any christfriends could explain why this is not the case, id be grateful.

Im guessing OP means life-affirming in the "help me to stand up and fight" sense and not the hedonic "hold onto this life its all we have sense"

It is a beautiful paradox at the heart of the Gospel that in order to save your life you must lay it down.

Why are you unable to engage with other people on even an anonymous website, let alone real life. Why can you only use a meme template to convey your thoughts, there is no anxiety here anon, we don't know you, you can tell us your opinion without hiding behind a trite joke.

Nietzsche defined life-affirming directly in contradiction to Christianity, you need to find some really whacky sect if you want a life-affirming Christianity.

Anon, and I ask genuinely, what has convinced you of the rightness of your God? I want to believe but I can't, when I think to myself of whether God exists, the contrary is what strikes me as more true. This may simple be my age and inexperience, and so I always want to hear what convinces others

There is an organic and human conception of spirituality, without using too much theological concept the author makes us understand the beauty and the cleanliness of the Christian life founded in the hope. He shows what life is worth and what it gains by being founded in God and in civil, religious and family societies, and how this life, founded in hope, which is not of exuberance and pleasure, is of a deeper beauty and more beautiful than those without God and without hope.

"Credo ut intelligam" - I believe that I may understand. There are the "preambles to the faith" like the existence of the One God, the reliability of Scripture, the truth about human nature, etc. But faith is ultimately a matter of the heart. Which isn't to say it isn't reasonable, it is the reasons of the heart which ground reason itself (drawing from Pascal)

Do not be discouraged. Keep seeking the truth.

I think that my parents are lukewarm in their beliefs. They say that they are conservative Christians but they got the vaccine like good global citizens. How can everyone not see that this is obviously part of the Satanic agenda preparing people to accept the mark of the beast?
This is what I see from the boomer generation as a whole. They preach Christianity and conservative values and they whine and moan about society's degenerating moral values, but when the time comes for them to actually take a stand for their beliefs, they cuck out and fall in line with the globalist agenda and make excuses that it's "just a vaccine, stop being paranoid".
