the issue is ppl believe that since they can survive without being intelligent, they find it unimportant. It bothers me when idiotic business people (the leeches, liars, and exploiters of the world) and restaurant managers create videos about college being a scam and think that being smarter does not make you a better person.

They try to thumb there noses at intellectuals for being better human beings than they are and often use words like "psuedo-intellectual" as a sort of way of adding stigmatization to intellectualism.
